With no sailing in March this looked my only chance to get out as the best wind of the weekend even if the nice sunny mild weather of last week has disappeared :(
So after breakfast at the Dip and a kiter struggling in the light wind and with the tide approaching high and the sea getting lumpy I decided to take my gear to Levington for some longboard sailing.
I have never sailed the river in this direction and it might be okay for 30 kts with alot more wind !!! So I was beating up to Felixstowe docks and reaching back and was getting my fastest times bearing off on the bend in front of Levington Marina and was pleased with nearly 26 kts - not bad considering the wind , shame could have done with abit more but is'nt that always the way !!!
